The Milton Incident are a band from France that plays a mixture of groove and alternative metal and this is a review of their 2014 album "Conspiracy Of Silence" which was released by Dooweet Records.
The album starts out with synths and sound effects before adding in clean playing and after the intro the music goes into a heavier groove metal direction which also leads up to melodic alternative rock style vocals while also b ringing in aggressive screams and melody.
As the album continues it sticks to a heavy yet mainstream sounding mixture of groove, nu and alternative metal while also having a sound that was all over the radio during the early 2000's and after awhile they bring in clean sections along with all of the musical instruments having a very powerful sound to them and at times you can also hear traces of electronic music.
While i am not a huge fan or expert on this style of music I feel The Milton Incident are good for what they do with their mixture of groove, nu and alternative metal and they have a good balance of heaviness and melody while also having a sound that is suitable for mainstream rock and alternative radio stations.
Song lyrics cover hateful and everyday themes, while the production has a very strong, powerful, heavy and professional sound for being a self released recording where you can hear all of the musical instruments that are present on this album.
In my opinion the Milton Incident are a very decent sounding mixture of groove, nu and alternative metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Innocence Lost" "Deus Ex Machina" "Dopamine" and "Conspiracy of Silence". 7 out of 10.
