In Cold blood where a band from Cleveland, Ohio that played a very dark and heavy form of hardcore and this is a review of their 2009 album "Suicide king" which was released by A389 Recordings.
The album starts out with a very heavy and fast hardcore sound along with blast beats and aggressive vocals as well as adding in slower heavy sections and they have a more aggressive sound than most bands of this genre along with all of the musicla instruments having a very heavy sound to them.
As the album continues the band stick to a very fast and heavy form of hardcore while also having the heaviness of extreme metal as well as bringing in distorted and melodic elements at times as well as a small amount of clean playing and some of the songs they bring in a small amount of guitar leads.
With this album In Cold Blood brought back a great amount of speed that was messing in the hardcore sound of 2009 and had a darker approach than most of the bands that where considered modern hardcore during that time.
Song lyrics cover dark, hateful and everyday themes, while the production has a very strong, powerful, heavy, dark and professional sound where you can hear all of the musical instruments that are present on this recording.
In my opinion In Cold blood where a very decent sounding metallic hardcore band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Suicide King" "Fuck Your Opinion" "Bleak Existence" and "Time to Die". 7/5 out of 10.
