Skelator/Agents Of Power/Metal On Metal Records/2012 CD Review

Skelator  are  a  band  from  Seattle,  Washington  are  a b and  from  Seattle,  Washington  that  plays  a  mixture  of  power,  speed  and  traditional  metal  with  some  thrash  elements  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2012  album  "Agents  Of  Power"  which  was  released  by  Metal  On  Metal  Records.

Drums  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  drumming  with  no  blast  beats  being  present  on  this  recording,  while  the  bass  playing h as  a very  strong  and  power  sound  with  heavy  riffing t hat  dominates  throughout  the  recording.

Rhythm  guitars  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  riffs  that  combine  power,  traditional  and  speed  metal  together  to  create  a  sound  of t heir  own  as  well  as  a  good  amount  of  thrash  influences  and  melody  being  thrown  into  the  riffing,  while  the  lead  guitars  are  very  old  school  and  melodic  sounding  power/speed/heavy  metal  guitar  solos  and  leads,  as  for  the  acoustic  guitars  which  are  only used  briefly  they  use  finger  picking  and  full  chords  to  add  more  epic  elements to  the  music.

Vocals  are  mostly  clean  singing  power/heavy  metal  vocals  with  some  back  up  shouts  and  spoken  word  parts,  while  the  lyrics  cover  Fantasy  and  Dark  themes,  as  for  the  production  it h as  a  very  powerful,  heavy,  old  school  and  professional  sound  to  it  where  you  can  hear  all  of t he  musical  instruments  that  are  present  on  this  recording.

In  my  opinion  Skelator  are  a  very  great  sounding  hybrid  of  speed,  power,  and  traditional  metal  with  some  thrash  elements  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  this  band.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Agents  Of  Power"  "Elric  The  Dragon  Prince"  "Stormbringer  And  Mournbalde"  and  "Fate  The  Dreadful  Curse".  RECOMMENDED  BUY.
