Deceptor/Chains Of Delusion/Shadow Kingdom Records/2013 CD Review

Deceptor  are  a  band  from  the  U.K  that  plays  a  mixture  of  thrash,  speed,  power,  traditional  and  power  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2013  album  "Chains  Of  Delusion"  which  was  released  by  Shadow  Kingdom  Records.

Drums  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  drumming  with  no  blast  beats  being  utilized,  while  the bass  playing  has  a  very  strong  and  powerful  sound  with  heavy  riffing  that  dominates  throughout  the recording.

Rhythm  guitars  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  riffs  that  combine  thrash,  speed,  power,  traditional  and  progressive  metal  together  to  create  a  sound  of their  own  with  a  good  amount  of  melody  being  thrown  into  the  riffing,  while t he  lead  guitars  are  very  classic,  traditional  sounding  heavy/speed  metal  guitar  solos  and  leads.

Vocals  range  from  clean  singing  power  metal  metal  vocals,  thrash  style  singing  and  some  growls  as  well  as  a  brief  use  of  robotic  spoken  word  parts,  while  the  lyrics  cover  dark  themes,  as  for  the  production  it h as  a  very  strong,  powerful,  heavy,  old  school  and  professional  sound  where  you  can  hear  all  of  the  musical  instruments  that  are  present on t his  recording.

In  my  opinion  Deceptor  are  a  very  great  sounding  hybrid  of  thrash,  speed,  power,  traditional  and progressive  metal  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  this  band.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "To  Know  Infinity"  and  "Oblivion's  Call".  RECOMMENDED  BUY.
