The Minerva Conflict are band from India that plays an instrumental, atmospheric and progressive form of extreme metal and this is a review of their self titled 2017 album which will be released in September by Transcending Obscurity India.
A very heavy prog metal sound starts off the album along with some atmospheric synths in the background and you can also hear all of the musical instruments that are presented on the recording and the music also incorporates elements of progressive rock while also sounding very modern.
Most of the music is instrumental while also having its experimental moments along with clean playing also being added into certain sections of the recording and spoken word parts are also used briefly and when the music speeds up a decent amount of blast beats can be heard and some of the tracks are very long and epic in length and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and the songs also mix in a great amount of djent and thrash metal elements.
The Minerva Conflict plays a very instrumental and atmospheric style of progressive metal while also mixing in the heaviness of thrash and djent to create a sound of their own and the production also sounds very professional.
In my opinion The Minerva are a very great sounding instrumental, atmospheric, progressive and extreme metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Vile " "Tip Seq" and "Grand Arcane". 8 out of 10.
