Firebreather are a band from Sweden that plays a mixture of sludge metal and doom rock and this is a review of their self titled 2017 album which will be released in October by Suicide Records.
Psychedelic sounds start off the album along with some powerful sounding bass guitars and drum beats a few seconds alter which also leads up to a heavier sludge metal direction along with some doom metal and stoner rock elements while the vocals are done in a very aggressive yet melodic fashion.
All of the tracks are very long and epic in length along with a few sludge style screams and the riffs also bring in a decent amount of melody and when guitar leads are utilized they are done in a very retro stoner doom style and all of the songs stick to either a slow or mid paced direction while also always remaining very heavy.
Firebreather plays a musical style that takes sludge and mixes it with doom rock to create a sound of their own, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover dark themes.
In my opinion Firebreather are a very great sounding mixture of sludge metal and doom rock and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Emerald Eyes" and "Release The lava". 8 out of 10.
