Premortal Breath are a band from Germany that plays a traditional form of heavy metal and this is a review of their self released 2014 album "They".
A very aggressive and old school heavy metal sound starts off the album along with some vocals that are both aggressive and melodic at the same time and you can also hear some elements of thrash in the songs at times and you can also hear a decent amount of melody in the riffs along with all of the musical instruments having a very powerful sound to them.
When solos and leads are added into the music t hey bring in an early 80's metal sound to the songs they are utilized on and the band also adds a modern style to the traditional metal genre and as the album progresses clean playing can be heard in certain sections of the recording and some of the heavier parts also bring in a slight death metal influence at times and on some of the tracks the music starts adding in more fast parts.
Premortal Breath takes a traditional style of heavy metal and updates thew genre bringing in more modern influences and a heavier style to update this genre for the modern day, the production sounds very professional for being a self released recording while the lyrics cover real life themes.
In my opinion Premortal Breath are a very great sounding heavy metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Into The Light" "They" and "Bloody baby Shower". 8 out of 10.
