Midnight Bullet are a band from Finland that plays a mixture of melodic heavy metal with elements of thrash and punk and this is a review of their 2015 album "lose My Face" which will be released in 2015 by Inverse Records.
A very hard and heavy punk/metal sound starts off the album along with some vocals a few seconds later that are both aggressive and melodic at the same time and you can also hear a decent amount of melody in the music and the solos and leads bring in even more of an old school hard rock/heavy metal sound to the songs they are utilized on.
At times you can hear some of the more modern commercialized metal sound in the bands musical style at times and as the album progresses clean playing can be heard in certain sections of the recording along with one of the later tracks being power ballad and some of the songs on the album bring in a heavy influence of thrash metal which adds more aggression into the melodic sound of the recording as well as adding in a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and the last track brings in a small amount of acoustic guitars.
Midnight Bullet plays a very modern style of melodic metal that takes the energy of punk rock and the heaviness of thrash to create a sound of their own, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover a theme that is based on a fear of making yourself a total fool.
In my opinion Midnight Bullet are a very great sounding melodic metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Memories Are Gone" "Six Feet Under" "Lose My Face" and "Hope". 8 out of 10.
