Reabilitator are a band from Ukraine that plays a very old school form of thrash metal and this is a review of their 2012 album "Global Degeneration" which was re-issued in 2015 as a joint effort between Symbol Of Domination Productions, Metal Race, and Murdher Records.
War sirens start off the album before going into an old school thrash metal direction and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them and after awhile aggressive vocals along with back up gang shouts make their presence known on the recording and the music is very heavily rooted in the 80's.
When guitar solos and leads are utilized they remain very true to an old school style of thrash metal while the riffs also use a great amount of melody and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and some songs also bring in a small amount of clean playing and on some tracks the bass also throws in leads and on some tracks war samples also make a return.
Reabilitator plays a style of thrash metal that is very aggressive and old school in the 80's tradition, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover cociety, progress, devastation and thrashing themes.
In my opinion Reabilitator are a very great sounding old school thrash metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this re-issue. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Mechanical Devastation" "Chernobyl" "Wall Of Death" and "New World Order". 8 out of 10.
