F.A.T are a band from France that plays a mixture of ambient and noise rock and this is a review of their 2016 ep "Animal" which was released by Atypeek Music and Becoq Records.
Distorted noises start off the ep along with some clean guitars and harsh reverb's a few seconds later which also leads to a heavy bass guitar making its presence known on the recording and the music also brings in an improv and jam feeling at times and some of the tracks are very long and epic in length.
Elements of ambient can be heard quite a bit throughout the recording and after awhile the guitars start getting more distorted and also takes the music into a heavier noise rock direction and they also use the bass guitars as a lead instrument and all of the songs are instrumenta and also stick to a very slow musical direction.
F.A.T plays an instrumental style of noise rock that sounds all improv and also mixes in ambient along with some touches of drone and noise to create a musical style of their own and the production sounds very professional.
In my opinion F.A.T are a very great sounding instrumental mixture of noise rock and ambient and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out t his band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Silex" and "Poire". 8 out of 10.
