Cavador are a band from Argentina that plays an old school form of thrash metal and this is a review of their self released 2015 ep "Prohibido Nacer".
A very heavy and aggressive old school thrash metal sound starts off the ep and all of the musical instruments sound very powerful while the vocals are very aggressive and they also mix in back up gang shouts quite a bit throughout the recording and the solos and elads bring in more of a technical and melodic style.
Most of the music is very heavily rooted in the 80's and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and classical guitars can also be heard in the music briefly and the faster sections of the songs also utilize a small amount of blast beats while the vocals also get melodic at times while also maintaining a rough edge and they also bring in a cover of Sodom's "Ausgebombt".
Cavador plays a style of thrash metal that is very aggressive and old school in the mid 80's tradition, the production sounds very powerful for being a self released recording while the lyrics are written in Spanish and cover politics, social decay and violence themes.
In my opinion Cavador are a very great sounding old school thrash metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Prohibited be Born". 8 out of 10.
