Bonecracker are a band from Russia that plays a very old school form of thrash metal and this is a review of their 2014 album "Flaws" which was released by Zombie Records.
A very heavy and melodic thrash metal sound starts off the album and blast beats can be heard at times while the vocals are done in a very aggressive screaming style while also having a shouting approach and when guitar solos and leads are utilized they are done in a melodic fashion and clean playing can be heard at times.
Spoken word parts are added into certain sections of the recording along with a small amount of clean singing and the songs also bring in a great amount of mid 80's and early 90's influences while also mixing in a more modern approach the genre and some of the tracks are very long and epic in length and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them and there is also a brief use of tribal beats and ethnic music elements while the songs bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and there are also a small amount of growls being used briefly which also gives the music a slight death metal influence.
Bonecracker plays a style of thrash metal that is very aggressive, melodic and old school while being modern at the same time, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics are written in Russian and cover violent and angry themes.
In my opinion Bonecracker are a very great sounding thrash metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genres, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Worms" "Bunker" and "Widow In Wood". 8 out of 10.
