1. Can you give us an update on what is going on with the band these days? We are about to go on tour. Appropriately entitled " wreck the road" tour. During the spring and summer times we will be fairly busy and we are all really excited. We have also begun preproduction for our next album and the new material is very surprising to us and will be to others. We're branching out in different directions and its a great feeling to touch new ground. 2.Recently you have released a new album, can you tell us a little bit about the musical direction of the new recording and also how does it differ from the demo you had released a few years back? Traits of the sick is our debut album. We learned a lot in the process of recording . Our demo songs have all been recorded again for the album and with many differences. It's a mix of thrash and heavy metal with a few twists . As a band we're never afraid to play off of our influences and with that said we have many to play off of. 3.Can you tell us a little bit more about the lyrical topics and subjects the band explores with the music? I write about personal issues and my experiences. I want to convey every emotion possible with the music. Im a mixed mental mess sometimes so writing really puts the mess in order for a while. We're always maturing musically and I'm happy about that because that way i can delve into different parts of myself rather than just being aggressive like most metal seems to be. What ever i experience in my life. Positive or negative it will end up in a song some time. 4.What is the meaning and inspiration behind the name 'Trainwreck Architect'? I am a trainwreck architect. We all are. Its about making those choices that don't end up too good. Choices that leave your life looking like a trainwreck but you cant turn away from a trainwreck and a real man cant turn away from his life. It turns away from you. So you stick with it and pick up the pieces and then get the train back on track. 5.What are some of the best shows that the band has played over the years and also how would you describe your stage performance? Our best shows are every show. Its always a learning process and we get better every single time. We're extremely energetic and thrive to have fun with our audience before, during and after the performance. The rock and roll attitude is a big part our metal sound. 6.Do you have any touring or show plans for the future? Through out may, june and july we will be all around Canada: Ontario, Quebec, The maritimes and to kick it all off, we are opening for german power metal masters PRIMAL FEAR on may 2nd in Montreal. 7.Currently you are unsigned, are you looking for a label or have received any interest? The plan right now is to focus on the next record and tour and gig. By the time our next record is complete we will be shopping it around. 8.On one of your tracks you had a guest performance from the guitar player in Annihilator, do you feel having this legendary guitarist play one song on your album will help get your band out there heard more? I think in terms of annihilator fans we will turn some heads our way for sure but the real reason we wanted jeff on the record is because we are fans of that band. It is really amazing to have one of our heavy metal heroes play on the album. I love annihilator and jeff waters is a class act. 9.On a worldwide level how has the feedback been to your music by fans of metal? A load of positive reactions . People seem to like the clashing metal styles of the band and thats what we will always do. Its Really fun to dig into our influences from all kinds of music. Im also aware that some people wont "get it" because we don't stick to one sound but we're real fans of metal and music so our sound is every sound we want it to be. 10.Where do you see the band heading into musically during the future? Its an endless ride with this band. The next record is full of different styles. Grindcore, funk, metal, rock n roll, doom. In the mean time i suggest you listen to our debut and by the time part two rolls around you wont know what hit you. 11.What are some of the bands or musical styles that have had an influence on your music and also what are you listening to nowadays? We're into something different everyday . On traits of the sick there seems to be a big thrash influence . Anthrax, Death angel, Annihilator and throw in some groove to that and top it off with the classic metal stamp. Personally i am on a big blues and 70s funk binge. Funkadelic, James Brown. Son house. As for metal I am loving kvelertak and phil anselmo's solo album. 12.What are some of your non musical interests?
I love wrestling. I love "fake" sports. That UFC is too serious and not
enough fun for me. Im glued to my TV and watch WWE raw almost every monday night. The real dream would be to play at wrestlemania haha.
13.Before we wrap up this interview, do you have any final words or thoughts?
