Albino Rhino are a band from Finland that plays a stoner form of doom metal and this is a review of their self titled 2014 album which was released by Inverse Records.
A very heavy, retro and melodic doom metal sound starts off the album along with psychedelic elements in the background as well as the leads having a stoner metal feeling to them as well as a heavy jam rock improv feeling to them.
After the first track which is all instrumental vocals are added into the music and they seem to be heavily influenced by both Sleep and Black Sabbath and the band cover the doom metal genres from the early 70's up to modern day and have a sound that would appeal to metal fans that like to smoke a lot of weed and the bass guitars also bring a very powerful sound to the 4 tracks on the record which are also all long and epic in length.
Albino Rino take influences from doom metal dating back to 1970 up to 2014 and create a very dark, heavy and retro sound along with a very professional sounding production and lyrics that cover darkness and nature themes.
In my opinion Albino Rhino are a very great sounding recording retro stoner/doom metal b and and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Forest Prevail" and "Blue Mist". 8 out of 10.
