This is a review of a split ep between Washington D.C's Borracho and France's Cortez which was released by AM Records in the year of 2014 and we will start off the review with Borracho a band that plays stoner rock.
Their side of the split starts off with heavy stoner rock style guitar riffs along with a good amount of 70's influence before adding in blues rock style vocals and a good amount of doom and proto metal influences along with a good amount of melody, the production sounds very professional and the lyrics cover real life themes.
Borracho are a very decent sounding stoner rock band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out their side of the split.
Next up is Cortez another band that plays stoner rock.
Their side of the split starts off with some old school heavy metal riffs along with some melodic vocals which bring a 70's proto metal feeling to the track along with a good amount of stoner rock elements and after awhile solos and leads are brought into the track, the production sounds very powerful and the lyrics cover dark topics..
In my opinion Cortez are a very great sounding stoner rock band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out their side of the split.
In conclusion i feel this is a very great sounding split and I would recommend it to all fans of stoner rock and proto metal. 8 out of 10.
Thanks for the review! A quick correction, Cortez are from Boston, MA, not France.
