Ultraviolence are a band from the U.K that plays an extreme form of gabbber, industrial and digital hardcore and this is a review of their 1994 album "Life of Destructor" which was released by Earache Records.
Drum programming ranges from slow, mid paced to fast beats that get very heavy and brutal sounding, while the sound effects being in elements of industrial, gabber, noise, techno and digital hardcore to create a sound of their own, as for the synths when they are utilized they bring a very dark and atmospheric sound to the music.
Vocals are all aggressive sounding robotic vocals along with some spoken word samples being utilized at times as well as a brief use of clean singing female vocals, while the song themes cover dark and violent themes, as for the production it has a very dark, heavy, raw and primitive sound to it while still maintaining a professional approach to the music with a couple of the songs being long and epic in length.
In my opinion Ultraviolence are a very great sounding gabber band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "I Am Destructor" "Hardcore Motherfucker" "The Only Love" and "Hiroshima". RECOMMENDED BUY.
