Pryapisme are a band from France that plays a very experimental and avant garde form of metal and this is a review of their 2014 ep "Futorologie" which was released by Apathia Records.
Ethnic and classical musical sounds start off the ep along with some avant garde elements and spoken word parts and you can also hear Nintendo music samples on the recording which they also mix in with some extreme metal guitar riffs and there is a great amount of diversity throughout the recording.
At time s the music can be very experimental and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them and as the ep progresses violins can be heard in certain sections and when solos and leads are utilized they display a great amount of talent and skill and some songs also bring in elements of electronic music while some of the heavier sections also incorporate blast beats at times and a later track also adds in a few seconds of choirs.
Pryapisme plays a music that has the heaviness of extreme metal but also mixes in experimental, avant garde, electronic music, classical, ethnic, jazz and nintendocore to create a mostly instrumental style that is hard to categorize and the production also sounds very professional.
In my opinion Pryapisme are a very great sounding experimental, avant garde metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this ep. 8 out of 10.
