Dying Gorgeous Lies are a band from Germany that plays a mixture of heavy and thrash metal and this is a review of their 2015 album "First World breakdown" which was released by Massacre Records.
A very heavy and melodic old school thrash metal sound starts off the album along with some solos and leads that utilize a great amount of melody and technical elements and also dominate throughout the recording and the vocals that are utilized are sung by a female and use a mixture of clean singing and aggressive screams.
Blast beats can be heard quite a bit throughout the recording and the song s also bring in a decent amount of back up gang shouts and you can also hear a lot of classic metal influences in t he guitar solos and leads and all of the songs have a very vintage 80's metal feeling to them while the production gives the music more of a modern day feeling and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them and they also b ring in a brief use of clean playing and a power ballad before returning back to a harder direction on the following tracks.
Dying Goregeous Lies plays a style of thrash metal that is very heavy, melodic and old school sounding and also adds in a touch of traditional metal to make this their own style, the production sound s very professional while the lyrics cover real life themes.
In my opinion Dying Gorgeous Lies are a very great sounding mixture of thrash and heavy metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "First World Breakdown" "Suppressing Fire" "Riot Call" and "United". 8 out of 10.
