Worselder are a band from France that plays a mixture of stoner and groove metal and this is a review of their self released 2010 album "Where We Came From".
A very heavy groove metal/hardcore sound starts off the album along with some stoner rock melodies and the vocals start out being very melodic before adding in more aggressive parts as well as mixing the two together and you can hear a heavy influence of thrash in the bands musical style which is also very heavily rooted in the 90's.
When solos and leads are added onto the recording they bring in even more of a melodic sound to the recording along with the vocals bringing in a touch of power metal at times and you can also hear a small amount of clean playing being utilized in certain sections of the recording and all of the songs stick to a slow or mid paced musical direction.
Worselder plays a style of metal that is very melodic and heavily rooted in the 90's taking the stoner, hardcore and groove metal genres of that era and mixing them in with a touch of thrash and power metal to create a sound of their own, the production sounds very professional for being a self released recording while the lyrics cover real life themes.
In my opinion Worselder are a very great sounding old school mixture of stoner and groove metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "6 Days" "A Trip Into Your Soul" and "The Prison Of Dirt". 8 out of 10.
