Enthoegen are a band from Slovenia that plays mostly an instrumental mixture of math rock, sludge, stoner rock and post metal and this is a review of their 2013 album "Moons Of Jupiter" which was released by Drustvo Jupiter.
A very heavy and atmospheric sound starts off the album before going into more of a sludge metal direction and after awhile clean playing and psychedelic sounds are added into certain sections of the recording and they also bring in more of a stoner and post rock feeling to the recording along with a touch of progressive metal.
All of the musical instruments on the recording have a very powerful sound to them along with a decent amount of melody being presented in all of the tracks and as the album progresses the band starts adding in elements of experimental and math rock into their musical style and they also bring in small amounts of spoken word parts at times along with a brief use of operatic female vocals and some of the tracks also bring in a few blast beats and on the last track high pitched sludge screams are added into the music along with a few seconds of acoustic guitars and melodic chants.
Enthoegen plays mostly an instrumental style of music that brings in influences from experimental, math, stoner rock, sludge and post metal to create a sound of their own and the production has a very professional sound to it.
In my opinion Enthoegen are a very great sounding of math, stoner rock, sludge and post metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Venus" "Io" and "Callisto". 8 out of 10.
