Blast Off are a band from Spain that plays a very aggressive form of thrash metal and this is a review of their 2014 ep "World Of Lies" which was released by Susperia Records.
A very aggressive and old school thrash metal sound starts off the ep along with a decent amount of melody being utilized and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them and the vocals the band uses are very aggressive screams that also bring back up gang shouts onto the recording.
Throughout the recording there is a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fat parts being utilized and the solos and leads the band uses also remain true to an old school thrash metal sound while also adding even more melody onto the recording and one of the later tracks also brings in a brief use of clean playing and spoken word samples before making a return back to a more heavy and aggressive musical direction.
Blast Off plays a style of thrash that is very heavily, aggressive and old school along with some screaming vocals that almost have a tinge of death metal to them at times, the production sound s very professional while the lyrics cover violent, hateful and political themes.
In my opinion Blast Off are a very great sounding thrash metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Blackout" and "Hunter Of Evil". 8 out of 10.
