Valentin The Mad is a solo artist from Israel that plays an instrumental style of progressive metal with some elements of thrash and indie rock and this is a review of his demo songs that are self released on his YouTube channel.
The first track which is also the first he uploaded is more of a soft rock instrumental which brings in a great amount of clean playing, melodic guitar leads and powerful sounding bass guitars while the following track goes for more of an indie and progressive rock mixture and mixing these 2 style together gives his songs more of a modern day feeling.
The third track in the series shows the music getting more heavier and bringing in a progressive metal sound while the following song shows the music getting a lot more heavier and bringing in more of a thrash sound and he follow this song with another track that shows things coming down a bit and going for more of a traditional style of progressive rock
Once the 6th video kicks in the music starts bringing in more of an 80's style of AOR progressive rock which he follows up with a track that sees the music returning to a metal direction and adding in elements of Arabian music, while the following track goes for more of a traditional and old school style of heavy metal and the last 2 tracks go back to a progressive rock sound with the first one being a rock ballad with the last song is more of a soft instrumental
Valentin The Mad plays an instrumental style of progressive rock that only uses electric guitars and drum programming and he also mixes in heavy metal, thrash and indie rock into his musical style and the production has a decent sound for being self released and self produced.
In my opinion Valentin the Mad is a very great sounding instrumental mixture of progressive, indie rock, heavy metal and thrash and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this solo artist. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Deadly Obsession" "The Devils Courtyard" "Sandstorm and "Apocalyptic Visions". 8 out of 10.
