Raging Mob are a band from China that plays an old school form of thrash metal and this is a review of their self titled 2008 album which was released by Mort Productions.
Horror movie samples start off the album and after the intro the music goes into more of an old school thrash metal direction along with some aggressive yet melodic vocals and back up gang shouts as well as some solos and riffing that also use a good amount of melody and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them
The bands musical sound reminds me of a mixture of Bay Area thrash along with some touches of east coast crossover and the band also uses a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts as well as having a very vintage 80's extreme metal sound to them and after awhile clean playing and regular singing can be heard in certain sections of the recording while the main focus is on a very aggressive musical style and they also bring in an instrumental before returning back to vocal tracks and the last 2 songs are recorded live and are covers of Assassin tunes.
Raging Mob plays a very aggressive and old school style of thrash metal which also brings in the perfect balance between melody and heaviness, the production sounds very professional and old school while the lyrics cover violent, political and hateful themes.
In my opinion Raging Mob are a very great sounding old school thrash metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Promisebreaker" "Rage" "The Blessing Of the Mob" and "Bushwackers" 8 out of 10.
