Neverworld are a band from The United Kingdom that plays a mixture of heavy and power metal and this is a review of their 2014 album "Visions Of Another World" which was released by Dream Demon Recordings.
Dark sounding keyboards start off the album and a few seconds later programmed beats are added into the music giving the recording more of an epic feeling and after the intro the music goes into an old school power metal direction along with some vocals and some solos and leads shortly after that.
Spoken worlds can be heard in certain sections of the recording and keyboards are utilized on a regular basis as a lead instrument and they also bring a symphonic feeling to the recording and you can also hear a great amount of talent and skill in the solos and leads and the music this band creates is heavily rooted in the 80's.
As the album progresses acoustic guitars can be heard in certain sections of the recording along with a power ballad which also sees the band bringing in female vocals before returning back to a heavier direction which also sees the band adding more modern elements into their classic power metal sound along with some traces of progressive rock.
Neverworld creates a very melodic style of heavy/power metal which has the 80's style down perfectly while also bringing in a more modern approach to this genre, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover dark and philosophical themes.
In my opinion Neverworld are a very great sounding mixture of heavy and power metal and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Visions Of Another World" "Ghosts" and "This Fire". 8 out of 10.
