Jaded Star Interview

1.For those that have never heard of you before, can you tell us a little bit about the band?

--Well instead of writing down the band's bio I will just say one thing: Jaded Star is a band that all the music lovers have to hear!

2.Recently you have released a new album, how would you describe the musical sound that is presented on the recording?

--"Memories From The Future" is an album full of energy, heavy and catchy riffs, melodic sing along vocal lines and enough darkness to travel you to your deepest thoughts.

3.What are some of the lyrical topics and subjects the band explores with the music?

--This album is actually my life's diary.I like to write about my experiences, life, death, love, hate, but all this in a way that anyone will be able to find his own self in those words.

4.Most of the band members are veterans from other bands, what is it you feel you do differently with this group that you where not able to do with your previous bands?

--Jaded Star is a lifetime's dream coming true.I have been waiting for this moment for so long. Finally I found the best co travellers in this journey, that share the same passion and love for what we do and finally I feel free to compose the music I love with the people I love and sing my lungs out!

5.What is the meaning and inspiration behind the name 'Jaded Star'?

Jade is also known as the Emerald stone and it has both physical and spiritual healing powers, which is something that we wish to do with our music.

6.What are some of the best shows that the band has done so far and also how would you describe your stage performance?

Our best shows so far were at Metal Female Voices Fest in Belgium where we shared the stage with Therion,Leave's Eyes,Sirenia and many more, and our 2 shows supporting Epica which were our first shows ever in Greece. Our shows are full of emotion and energy since the stage is like a 2nd home to us all.People respond with enthusiasm to our call for sing alongs and we 'dress" our shows with special light and video effects.Come see us!=-)

7.Do you have any touring or show plans for the new album?

Yes,we are currently working on our European tour this fall and many summer festivals across the globe. Cant wait to hit the stage!

8.The new album was released on Sensory Records, are you happy with the support that they have given you so far?

Sensory Records and it's founder Ken Golden is the best thing that can happen to a musician at this moment. He truly believed in us and till now we've got nothing but love and support from him.We feel blessed.

9.On a worldwide level how has the feedback been to your music by fans of metal?

Till now the feedback has been really impressive! As a newcomer band we've received great reviews and the best fan feedback we could have ever dreamed of.

10.Where do you see the band heading into musically during the future?

I see us humble, honest and thankful. We will never stop writing music from the heart and we will never take advantage of anyone. We take nothing for granted and we will keep on fighting till the end of our days!
I see us touring the world and sharing our love for music with as many people as possible.

11.What are some of the bands or musical styles that have had an influence on your music and also what are you listening to nowadays

To be honest when it comes to composing we don't have a specific influence. We play what comes from within and we all listen to so many different things that it would be impossible to write them down now.
Personally I love The Gathering,Katatonia,Wovenhand,Iron Maiden,Dio and many more!

12.What are some of your non musical interests?

I love painting and making hand crafts,I'm also a full-time dreamer and cat lover.

13.Before we wrap up this interview, do you have any final words or thoughts?

I want to thank you Dave for having me.
I want to thank YOU for reading this and for supporting Jaded Star.
Keep on fighting everyone and be true to yourselves and to the ones you love.
