Six Months Of Sun are a band from Switzerland that plays an instrumental form of stone r rock and this is a review of their 2013 album "And Water Flows" which was released by GPS Records.
Drum beats and heavy blues rock/metal style riffing starts off the album along with some stoner and melodic classic rock elements and all of the musical instruments sound very powerful and there are of vocals or lyrics to be found anywhere on this recording and some of the later tracks bring in the energy of punk rock.
All of the songs stick to a slow or mid paced direction as well as having the heaviness of metal to them as well as evoking an improv feeling at times and there are no guitar solos or leads being utilized on any of the tracks with all of the music focusing more on a rhythmic and heavy sound.
Six Months Of Sun play an instrumental style of stone r rock and while they do not add a lot of originality to this musical genre they still sound very great for what they are trying to accomplish with their musical style and the production sounds very powerful and heavy.
In my opinion Six Months Of Sun are a very decent sounding instrumental stoner rock band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Bearded Thunder" "Coyote Paranoia" and "Desert Whispers". 7/5 out of 10.
