Divine Circles is a solo project from the United States that plays a very experimental form of neo folk music and this is a review of her 2014 album "Oblivion Songs" which was released by Paradigms Recordings.
The album starts out with dark sounding violins and a few seconds later melodic vocals make their way into the music and after awhile the music gets more avant garde and experimental in sound and on the second song tribal style drums are brought into the record while the following track uses electric guitars and as the album progresses you can also hear other instruments making their way onto the album.
On this album Divine Circles while is based more on neo folk you can also hear experimental. avant garde and rock music elements being added onto the recording and the album is very diverse and original sounding with all of the songs having a very different sound to them.
Song lyrics cover darkness and nature themes, while the production has a very strong, powerful and professional sound where you can hear all of the musical instruments that are present on this recording.
In my opinion Divine Circles are a very great sounding mixture of neo-folk and experimental music and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this artist. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Leave" and "Inguene". 9 out of 10.
