DeathinitioN are a band from Poland that plays an old school form of thrash metal and this is a review of their self released 2013 ep "Art Of Manipulation".
The ep starts out with heavy thrash guitar and bass riffs along with drums which leads up to aggressive yet melodic vocals and when leads are added into the music they bring a technical feeling to the recording.
As the ep continues it gets more melodic while also remaining true to an old school thrash sound and you can hear elements on this record that would be perfect for a mosh pit or a metal drinking party and after awhile clean playing is added into the music briefly.
With this ep DeathinitioN bring back an old school form of thrash that is perfect for moshing while also having a great amount of melody and their approach to mosh style thrash is more in the European than American direction.
Song lyrics cover party, social issues and anti religion themes along with the last song being written in Polish, while the production has a very strong, powerful, heavy and old school sound for being a self released recording where you can hear all of the musical instruments that are present on this ep.
In my opinion DeathinitioN are a very great sounding old school thrash metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "My Personal Maniac Fear" adn "Priest". 8/5 out of 10.
What's the difference between European and American way of moshing?
ReplyDeleteThe way they mosh is the same, I was saying the band was closer to European thrash than American, when I think American I think Exodus and that style, but I enjoy that style as well
