Melodius Deite are a band from Thailand that plays a very melodic, progressive and symphonic form of power metal and this is a review of their 2015 album "Episode II - Voyage Through the World Of Fantasy" which was released by Inazuma Productions.
A very dark and avant garde sounding keyboard starts off the album and also uses a variety of many different keys and once spoken word parts are added onto the recording the music starts getting more symphonic and after the intro the music gets more heavy and melodic while also remaining symphonic at the same time.
You can hear a lot of progressive rock elements in the bands musical style and the solos the band uses are very melodic and utilize a great talent of skill and a good portion of the tracks are very long and epic in length and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts.
The vocals that the band uses are all clean singing power metal vocals and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them and there are also a couple of instrumental tracks and you can also hear influences of classical music in both the keyboards and guitar leads and they also give the music more of an epic atmosphere.and as the album progresses operatic and female vocals can be heard in certain sections of the recording and some of the tracks also bring in the feeling of a rock opera and on of the later tracks also brings in a brief use of blast beats and the last song brings in a funk rock style bass lead.
Melodius Deite plays a style of power metal that is very progressive, symphonic and epic sounding mixing in a great amount of classical music influences while the riffs can be very heavy at times, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover fantasy, historical and mythological themes.
In my opinion Melodius are a very great sounding epic, progressive and symphonic power metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Land Of Fantasy" "Civilization" and "Pyramids Of Egypt". 8 out of 10.
