Dunderbeist are a band from Norway that plays an alternative form of metal and this is a review of their 2015 album "Hyklere" which was released by Indie Recordings.
A very dark, hard and heavy sound starts off the album along with some clean singing vocals and the solos and leads that are utilized are very dark and melodic sounding and you can hear all of the musical instruments that are present on the recording along with a great mixture of both clean and heavy parts.
Throughout the recording you can hear influences from metal, hard rock and alternative and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with some elements of grunge rock and at times the music also brings in aggressive nu metal style screams and as the album progresses acoustic guitars can be heard in certain sections of the recording and all of the songs would fit on a modern rock radio station and they also bring in a power ballad before returning back to a heavier direction on the following tracks.
Dunderbeist plays a musical style that mixes metal, alternative and mainstream rock together but done in more of a dark and heavy manner, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics are written in Norwegian and cover dark and real life themes.
In my opinion Dunderbeist are a very great sounding mixture of metal, hard rock and alternative and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Skaubror" "Groms" "Slagord" and "Titusentimer". 8 out of 10.
