White Dynomite are a band from Boston, Massachusetts that plays punk'n'roll with a metal and hardcore influence and this is a review of their self titled 2014 album which will be re- released on vinyl on October 14th by Ripple Music.
A very heavy, hard and old school rock music sound starts off the album along with some vocals that are both melodic and aggressive at the same time and after awhile solos and leads are added into the music and they are closer to the 70's and 80's genres of metal, punk, and hard rock and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them.
After awhile the music starts bringing in more melody and you can also hear a decent amount of 90's punk in the bands musical style along with a slight stoner rock vibe and all of the music sounds like it could of easily been recorded during that time frame while the production gives the music a more up to date and modern sound and as the album progresses some of the more faster hardcore punk elements are added into the music as well as adding more raw aggression into the bans musical style.
White Dynomite takes a very old school form of punk rock adding in some of the heaviness of hardcore and metal along with the melodies of garage and classic rock to create an album that is very retro and full of energy, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover real life themes.
In my opinion White Dynomite are a very great sounding punk'n'roll band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "White Dynamite" "Black Light Woman" "Go Fast And Be Violent" and "Look Out Below". 8 out of 10.
