This is a review of a split 7 inch between Arizona's Fuzz Evil and California's Chiefs which was released by Battleground Records in 2014 and we will start off the review with Fuzz Evil a band that plays a very heavy style of psychedelic stoner rock.
Their side of the split starts off with a very heavy sounding bass guitar lead before adding in some heavy and melodic 70's style doom metal riffs along with some clean singing vocals and the song has a very retro orientated feeling along with a more modern day production and dark lyrics and the guitar leads mixed in with the psychedelic sounds add up to the stoner vibe of the track.
Next up is Chiefs a band that plays a very heavy style of desert/stoner rock.
Their side of the split starts off with a very dark and heavy stoner rock sound that also brings in a decent amount of melody along with the heaviness of doom metal and after a minute melodic clean singing vocals are added into the song and when guitar leads are added into the track they give the music more of a 70's vibe along with a very professional sounding production and lyrics that cover a dark subject matter.
In conclusion I feel this is a very great sounding split and I would recommend this 7 inch to all fans of stoner rock. 8 out of 10.
