Demon Head are a band from Denmark that plays a very old school form of doom metal and this is a review of their 2014 demo which was released by Caligari Records.
The demo starts out with a very 70's sounding blues rock before adding in some proto metal elements that take the music into a more dark and doomier direction along with some melodic vocals as well as bringing in some guitar solos and leads.
When we get more into the recording the music becomes a mixture of doom metal and 70s rock while also having a good amount of melody in the music and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them.
Demon Head have a very dark and old school sound to them enough to the point if you played this for the average person they would think this is a 70's recording but surprisingly it was recorded in recent times.
Song lyrics cover darkness and occultism themes, while the production has a very strong, powerful, heavy, dark and old school sound where you can hear all of the musical instruments that are present on this recording.
In my opinion Demon Head are a very great sounding old school doom metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this demo. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Ride the Wilderness" and "Demon Head". 8 out of 10.
