Blessed Hellride are a band from Germany that plays a mixture of heavy rock and metal and this is a review of their 2013 ep "Booze n Roll" which was released by Monster tapes.
The ep starts out with a very dark and heavy sound along with some melodies and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them before adding in melodic vocals and they seem to have a sound that mixes Clutch with traditional metal and hard rock and after awhile guitar solos become a part of the music.
As the ep continues the band continue their modern day mixture of metal and hard rock as well as adding in more aggressive sounding elements to the vocals and at times the music has a very dark feeling to it as well as bringing in a brief use of clean and acoustic guitar playing which leads up to a power ballad before returning to a heavier direction on the last track.
Blessed Hellride bring in a decent amount of variety with their music with the music having a modern hard rock sound while also having the heaviness of metal and the catchy song structures of classic rock.
Song lyrics cover darkness, everyday and drinking themes, while the production has a very strong, powerful, heavy and professional sound where you can hear all of the musical instruments that are present on this recording.
In my opinion Blessed Hellride are a very decent sounding mixture of heavy rock and metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Bastards N Outlaws' and "Back From hell". 7/5 out of 10.
