Arising Fear are a band from Germany that plays a very modern day form of thrash metal and this is a review of their self released 2014 album "Beyond Betrayal".
The album s tarts out with a very heavy and aggressive modern thrash metal sound along with some blast beats and melodic yet aggressive vocals and you can also hear some melody and groove in the guitar riffing and after awhile solos and leads are brought into the music.
As the album continues it sticks to a modern thrash sound while also bringing in death metal influences into certain sections of the recording along with some more mainstream metal and hard rock elements as well as adding in melodic clean singing vocals at times and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them and on a couple of the tracks there is a small amount of acoustic guitars being utilized along with one of the songs being a power ballad.
With this album Arising Fear combine both old school and modern day thrash metal together while also having some influences from groove and death metal and you can also hear melody and mainstream rock elements being added in and while this is not really my style the band still demonstrate a good amount of talent and skill.
Song lyrics cover everyday themes, while the production has a very strong, powerful, heavy and professional sound for being a self released recording where you can hear all of the musical instruments that are present on this recording.
In my opinion Arising Fear are a very decent sounding modern thrash metal b and and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should c heck out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Mantic Shape" "Day to Overcome" "Come Alive Again" and "Meltdown Rust". 7/2 out of 10.
