Final Sign are a band from North Carolina that plays a mixture of heavy, power, speed, and thrash metal and this is a review of their 2016 album "Hold High The Flame" which will be released on cassette in October by Tridroid Records.
A very hard, heavy and melodic sound starts off the album along with some power metal style vocals a few seconds later and the music is very heavily rooted in the 80's while mixing it in with a more modern production and when back up gang shouts are utilized they bring elements of thrash onto the recording.
All of the musical instruments on the recording have a very powerful sound to them and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while the solos and leads remain true to a very melodic and old school style of metal and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and the songs also mix in elements of traditional and speed metal and on some tracks the vocals start utilizing more aggression and one of the tracks also brings in a brief use of clean playing while towards the end one of t he songs also adds in a few seconds of blast beats.
Final Sign plays a musical style that takes the traditional, power, speed and thrash metal genres and mixes them together with a more up to date approach, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover allegorical presentation of human issues and fantasy themes.
In my opinion Final Sign are a very great sounding mixture of heavy, power, speed and thrash metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Burn the Temple Down" "The Sinister Silence" and "The Ominous Black". 8 out of 10.
