Nachtgeschrei are a band from Germany that plays a mixture of metal, folk, rock and medieval music and this is a review of their 2013 "Sirene" which was released by Massacre Records.
Drums range from slow to mid paced playing with no fast drumming or blast beats being present on this recording, while the flutes and bag pipes bring the folk music influences into t he recording, as for the bass playing it has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that are coming out of the guitars.
Rhythm guitars range from slow to mid paced riffs that combine metal, rock, folk and medieval music to create a sound of their own and there are no guitar solos or leads present on t his recording, as for the acoustic guitars they use finger picking and full chords to add more folk elements to the single.
Vocals are all clean singing folk metal vocals, while the lyrics cover medieval and paganism themes, as for the production it has a very strong, powerful, dark, heavy and professional sound with only 2 songs on the recording.
In my opinion Nachtgeschrei are a very great sounding hybrid of folk, metal, rock and medieval music and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should c heck out this band. RECOMMENDED.
