Nervosa are a band from Brazil that plays a very heavy and aggressive form of thrash metal and this is a review of their 2014 album "Victim of Yourself" which was released by Napalm Records.
The album starts out with an intro which has thunder sounds and distorted noises along with the sound of wars and battles which also leads to a more melodic and heavy direction along with small amounts of clean playing.
After the intro the music goes into a more heavy and aggressive thrash direction along with blast beats as well as a mixture of slow and fast parts which also leads up to aggressive sounding vocals that have almost a death metal like feeling to them and after awhile they add solos into the music.
As the album continues the band stick to a very heavy and aggressive old school thrash direction while also adding melody into their music at times and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful and heavy sound to them as well as having a brief use of clean playing being utilized on one song before returning to a heaver direction and on the last song they bring in back up gang shouts.
Nervosa bring out a great amount of heaviness and aggression with the way they approach thrash metal and this is probably the heaviest thrash album I have heard in years and it is heavy and aggressive from start to finish.
Song lyrics cover violent, dark and aggressive themes, while the production has a very strong, powerful, heavy and professional sound where you can hear all of the musical instruments that are present on t his recording.
In my opinion Nervosa are a very great sounding heavy and aggressive thrash metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Twisted Values" "Nasty Injury" "Morbid Carnage" and "Victim Of Yourself". 9 out of 10.
