Andi Deris and The Bad Bankers are a band from Germany with the singer being better known for his work in Helloween with the band being a mixture of heavy metal and hard rock and this is a review of their 2014 album "Million DOllar Haircuts on Ten Cents Heads" which was released as a joint effort between Armoury and earMusic.
The album starts out with a heavy hard rock/metal sound which leads up to melodic vocals along with all of the musical instruments having a very powerful sound to them as well as the vocals using aggressive elements at times along with solos and background synths.
As the album continues the music remains in a heavy hard rock/metal direction along with a mixture of clean and heavy parts as well some mainstream radio rock elements and by the fourth song acoustic guitars are brought in and a power ballad is added into the recording before returning back to a heavier hard rock direction while also having other power ballads.
While this is not a power metal album despite the singers vocal style or the fact he sings in Helloween, this is still some very great sounding hard rock/metal that leans towards the mainstream at times as well as having a mixture of old school and modern sounds and there is a great amount of talented riffing and melody present on this recording.
Song lyrics cover the economic system and its corruption, while the production has a very strong, powerful, heavy and professional sound where you can still hear all of the musical instruments that are present on this recording.
In my opinion Andi Deris And The Bad Bankers are a very great sounding hard rock/metal b and and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Clock" "Blind" "Must be Dreaming" and "This Can Go On Forever". 8/5 out of 10.
