Betrayer F.T.M are a band from Columbia that plays a very old school form of thrash metal and this is a review of their 2014 album "Full Blast" which was released by Born Of Chaos Records.
The album starts out with old school and melodic guitar riffs along with drums as well as speeding up a bit and adding in bass along with old school power/thrash metal vocals along with back up shouts and after awhile melodic solos are added into the music.
As the album progresses the music gets darker along with a mixture of slow and fast parts and you can also hear a good amount of speed metal influences on the record and this album has a true metal feeling from start to finish and the music is very heavily rooted in the early 80's when speed metal was getting ready to evolve into thrash.
On this album Betrayer take early thrash and mix it with speed metal and they create a sound that is very dark, melodic and old school sounding while also showing that true metal never dies and remains alive.
Song lyrics cover dark, occult and heavy metal themes, while the production has a very strong, powerful, heavy and old school sound where you can hear all of the musical instruments that are present on this recording.
In my opinion Betrayer F.T.M are a very great sounding old school speed/thrash metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Evil Hounds" "Snake Eyes" "Reasing Power" and "Tridente Satanas". 8/5 out of 10.
