Will Wallner & Vivien Vain Interview

1.Can you give us an update on what has been going on with the musical project since the recording and release of the new album?

We've been working on new music and planning some live shows in Europe and USA. We also have a couple more releases we're working on including a vinyl release.

2.Recently you have released a new album, how would you describe the musical sound that is presented on the recording and also how does it differ from the stuff you have released in the past?

Its very guitar driven hard rock / blues based music.

3.What are some of the lyrical topics and subjects that you explore with your newer music?

The theme of the album is 'The Wars Of The Roses'. There is nothing too deep with lyrics except for 'Visions of Home'.

4.Over the years you have worked with some legendary musicians on some of your albums, do you feel this is a huge honor to accomplish in your musical career?

Its huge honor to have them play on our songs. The most important thing for us is that the musicians we play with are special to us for various different reasons. For example Don Airey was a big part of Gary Moore's career so it was very special to have him on our tribute.

5.The music is heavily rooted in the 80's sound, do you feel this style has been making a huge comeback over the years?

Yes it has but I prefer not to think of music in terms of decades. I don't like fashion trends.

6.What are some of the best shows that you have played over the years and also how would you describe your stage performance?

The best for us would be opening for Jake E Lee in Los Angeles. We try to be very honest with our performance.

7. Do you have any touring or show plans for the new album?

We would like to tour with an established act in 2015. We're currently working on it. We're also going to go to USA and Japan for some shows.

8.On a worldwide level how has the feedback been to your music by fans of metal and rock?

We get a lot of emails from all over the world telling us they like what we do. Particularly South America which is really cool.

9.Where do you see your music heading into during the future?

More blues, less metal.

10.What are some of the bands or musical styles that have had an influence on your newer music and also what are you listening to nowadays?

Honestly theres not a lot new stuff that I like. I respect any band out there making it happen but I don't really know what happened to musicians especially guitarists. I'm not very interested in most of the stuff I hear from younger musicians,

11.What are some of your non musical interests?

Collecting comics and classic wrestling

12.Before we wrap up this interview, do you have any final words or thoughts?

Just to say thank you for the interview, Cheers!
