This is a review of a compilation called "(We've Got)FIENDS IN LOW PLACES:Heavy Vibes Internationale" which will be released in February by Eolian Empire and we will review the songs one by one.
1.Meadows brings us "Gobshite" a song that is very loud and distorted while also bringing in some aggressive shouting vocals and the music is in more of a noise rock direction with some melody being used at times.
2.Same Sex Dictator brings us "Mass Krusader" a song that mixes crust, grindcore and noise rock together along with a decent amount of melody , screaming vocals, and a guitar solo.
3.Arabrot brings us "The Libertine" a song that mixes noise rock and sludge together along with the melody of indie rock.
4.Throat brings us "Clean, Cleaner" a song that goes for more of a mid 80's to early 90's style of noise rock while also using a good amount of melody and a heavy punk influence.
5.Cyberne brings us "Pozes" a song that is very heavy and aggressive sounding and mixes punk, thrash and noise rock together along with some solos and leads being added as well as some screaming vocals.
6.Health Problems brings us "A Stuck Horse" a very slow, dark and melodic noise rock song that also brings in a sludge feeling.
7.Bastards Of The Skies brings us "Brass Cattle" another song that goes for a very slow and old school direction of noise rock.
8.The Great Sabatini brings us "Slow Jam" a song that goes for a very slow, dark and heavy style of sludge/doom metal.
9.Battpiss brings us "Heavy Smoke (Stoned To Death" a song that mixes stoner and noise rock together as well as being very slow and melodic.
10.Teeph brings us "Church Vape Sesh" a song that mixes a psychotic and screaming style of punk with noise rock.
11.Hombre Malo brings us "The Fall" a song that mixes black metal, sludge and hardcore together to create their own sound.
12.Timekiller brings us "Sick of Myself" an old school style hardcore punk song that also brings in a touch of metal.
13.Moe brings is "Where's the Dj" an aggressive noise rock song that brings in female style punk vocals and a heavy bass guitar.
14.Elephant Rifle brings us "Frat Poison" a song that brings in a very melodic style of hardcore punk along with some screaming vocals.
15.Dead brings us "Rabbits" a very slow, dark and heavy song that mixes sludge, punk and noise rock together that is 7 minutes in length.
In conclusion I feel this is a very decent sounding compilation and I would recommend to all fans of sludge, hardcore, noise rock, garage and punk.
