Avoral are a band from Italy that plays an epic mixture of power, progressive and thrash metal and this is a review of their 2015 album "War Is Not Over" which will be released on January 22nd by Club Inferno Ent.
Movie samples start off the album before adding in a very melodic guitar lead which is also a huge part off all of the tracks along with some power metal vocals and they also mix in elements of folk music into their old school sound that is very heavily rooted in the 80's and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them.
After awhile the songs start bringing in a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and some of the songs also bring in a decent amount of clean playing into certain sections of the recording and they also bring in a brief use of screams and growls that have a black and death metal feeling to them along with a small amount of blast beats while the music remains true to mostly an old school power metal direction.
A good portion of the tracks are very long and epic in length and the band also adds a couple of power ballads onto the recording and the songs also bring in a good mixture of both modern day and old school influences along with the faster sections bringing in more elements of thrash and speed metal while the cleaner parts add more progressive influences into the bands musical style.
Avoral plays an epic style that takes a heavy influence from the 80's styles of power, progressive, speed and thrash metal but also add in elements of folk music and a touch of extreme metal to create a sound of their own, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover Fantasy themes.
In my opinion Avoral are a very great sounding epic mixture of power, progressive and thrash metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Ivory Gates" "i'll Rise Again" and "War Is Not Over". 8 out of 10.
