Rawhide are a b and from Sweden that contains former members of Bestial Mockery with a musical style I would describe as being death punk'n'roll and this is a review of their 2013 album "Murder One" which was released by PATAC.
"City Kids" begins with some heavy old school style guitar riffs which leads up to some drums, bass guitars and 70's style guitar solos and leads and then the music goes into a hardcore punk direction along with some gruff sounding vocals which also utilizes some punk rock elements.
''Damage Done" begins with some old school style hardcore punk riffs and then t he drums and aggressive vocals start kicking in and towards the end there is a brief use of Motorhead style guitar solos and leads.
"My Final Hell" begins with some guitar riffs and drums and after a few seconds the aggressive vocals start kicking in and midway into the song there is a brief use of guitar solos and leads being utilized as well as some spoken word parts.
''Habit To Support" begins with some old school rock'n'roll riffs before the drums and vocals kick in along with some guitar solos and leads and then the music goes for more of a metal/punk rock sound.
"On The Attack" begins with some heavy old school punk rock guitar riffs and drums which leads up to some old school punk/metal vocals along with some guitar solos and leads as well as some powerful bass guitars.
"Cut You Down" begins with some primitive guitar riffs, drums and punk rock style vocals which utilize alot of aggressive elements and after a while there is a brief use of powerful bass guitar and guitar solos and leads.
'Sanitarium Blues" begins with some guitar riffs and leads which leads up to the drums and vocals making their presence known in the song and the music on this song is very heavy and old school sounding.
"Out For Kicks" begins with some melodic guitar riffs and drums and then the music goes into a heavier and faster direction along with some aggressive sounding vocals and midway through the song there are some powerful bass guitars being utilized before the song starts adding in some solos and leads.
'Branded For Life" begins with some drums which lead up to some guitar riffs and powerful bass guitars and then t he aggressive sounding vocals start kicking in and towards the end there are some powerful bass and guitar leads being utilized.
Song lyrics cover blood, guts, beer and tainted ladies, while the production has a very strong, powerful, heavy and old school sound where you can hear all of the musical instruments that are present on this recording.
In my opinion Rawhide are a very great sounding death punk'n'roll band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "City Kids" "Habit To Support" "Sanitarium Blues" and "Branded For Life". RECOMMENDED BUY.
