Twitching Tongues are a band from Los Angeles, California that plays a mixture of doom metal, thrash and hardcore and this is a review of their 2012 album "In Love There Is No Law" which was released by Closed Casket Activities.
Drums range from slow, mid paced to fast drumming with some blast beats being utilized at times, while the bass playing has a very dark tone with riff that follow the riffing that are coming out of the guitars.
Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast riffs that combine doom metal, thrash and hardcore together to create a sound of their own with some melody and clean playing being thrown into the riffing, while the lyrics are very dark sounding extreme metal guitar solos and leads, as for the acoustic guitars when they are utilized use finger picking and full chords to add more dark sounding elements to the album.
Vocals range from clean singing to hardcore style growls which almost border on death metal at times as well as a brief use of spoken word parts and female vocals, while the lyrics cover dark themes, as for the production it has a very strong, powerful, heavy and professional sound to it.
In my opinion Twitching Tongues are a very great sounding hybrid of doom metal, thrash and hardcore and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Eyes Adjust" "World War V" "Deliver Us To Evil" and "Feed Your Disease". RECOMMENDED BUY.
