Dead are a duo from Australia that plays a mixture of metal, noise rock, experimental and punk and this is a review of their 2013 album "Idiots" which was released by Eolian Empire.
Drums range from slow to mid paced drumming with no fast playing or blast beats being present on this recording, while the sound effects bring in experimental and avant garde elements, as for the bass playing it has a very strong and powerful sound which is as powerful as a regular guitar which is absent from this recording and it takes over as the lead instrument along with some bass leads.
Vocals range from aggressive style shouts and screams to clean singing as well as a brief use of female vocals, while the lyrics cover dark, violent and hateful themes, as for the production it has a very strong, powerful, heavy and professional sound where you can hear all of the musical instruments that are present on t his recording with the last song being very long and epic in length.
In my opinion Dead are a very great sounding hybrid of metal, noise rock, experimental and punk and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Carcass Is Dry" "Murder Hollow" and "Inherit The Wind". RECOMMENDED BUY.
