A very dark and heavy sound starts off the album before going into a very fast old school thrash metal direction along with some vocals that are very aggressive yet melodic at the same time along with some back up gang shouts and solos and leads that utilize a great amount of melody as well as having a technical feeling to them at times.
You can hear a lot of bay Area thrash influences along with a good amount of blast beats and the vocals at time s have a power metal feeling to them at times but done in a more rough and brutal manner which almost leans more towards death metal at time and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them.
There is a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts present throughout this recording and some of the solos and leads the band uses brings a classic metal feeling to their aggressive style of thrash and after awhile regular singing be heard in certain sections of the recording and they bring a modern feeling to their old school approach to metal and a couple of the later tracks sees the band bringing in a few seconds of clean playing.
Exodia takes a very aggressive and old school style of thrash and add in a great amount of melody and a modern touch to this musical genre, the production sounds very professional for being a self released recording while the lyrics cover social injustice and political themes.
In my opinion Exodia are a very great sounding melodic old school thrash metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should enjoy this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Wicked Seed" "Shout the Nations" "Future Generations" and "The Art Of Drinking". 8 out of 10.
