The Sea Charmer/Cimmerian Repose/2012 Demo Review

The  Sea  Charmer  are  a  band  from  the  Chezch  Republic  that  plays  a  very  progressive  form  of  hardcore  with  some  metal  elements  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  self  released  2012  demo  "Cimmerian  Repose".

Drums  range  from  slow  to  mid  paced  drumming  with  no  fast  playing  or  blast  beats  being  present on t his  recording,  while  the  bass  playing  has  a  very  dark  tone  with  riffs  that  follow  the  riffing  that  are  coming  out  of  the  guitars,  as  for  the  synths  they  bring  a  very  dark,  atmospheric,  symphonic  and  progressive  sound  to  the  recording.

Rhythm  guitars  range  from  slow  to  mid  paced  riffs  that  combine  hardcore,  metal  and  progressive  music  together  to  create  a  sound  of  their  own  sound,  while the  lead  guitars a re  very  melodic  sounding  post  hardcore  guitar  solos  and  leads.

Vocals a re  mostly  aggressive  sounding  hardcore  screams  with  some  clean  singing,  while  the  lyrics  cover  dark  themes,  as  for  the  production  it  has  a  very  strong,  powerful,  heavy  and  professional  sound  for  being  a  self  released  recording.

In  my  opinion  The  Sea  Charmer  are  a  very  great  sounding  progressive  hardcore  band  and  if  you are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  this  demo.  RECOMMENDED  TRACK  "At The Dusk  Of  Vipers".  RECOMMENDED  BUY.
