Massgrav are a band from Sweden that plays a mixture of thrash and crust punk and this is a review of their 2017 album "Stockholm Rockers" which was released by Selfmadegod Records.
Distorted amp sounds start off the album along with some angry screams a few seconds later which also takes the music into a faster crust punk direction along with a great amount of blast beats while the music also mixes in a great amount of thrash elements as well as most of the tracks being very short in length.
All of t he musical instruments on the recording have a very powerful sound to them while the music brings in a great amount of 80's and 90's influences and gives them a more modern touch along with the music also bringing in a great amount of hardcore elements as well as the guitar leads remaining very true to an old school punk rock direction and as the album progresses a brief use of spoken word parts can also be heard and the music always remains heavy.
Massgrav plays a musical style that takes thrash and crust punk and mixes them together to create a sound of their own, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics are written in Swedish and cover angry and political themes.
In my opinion Massgrav are a very great sounding mixture of thrash and crust punk and if you are a fan of those musical genre, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Det har ar Stockholm" "Knegets Pissoar" "Alla hatar dig" and "Lat drommarna do". 8 out of 10.
