Chasing Sanity are a solo project from Arkansas that plays a mixture of goth, avant garde and industrial metal and this is a review of his self released 2017 album "Anathema".
Heavy guitars and industrial beats start off the album along with some aggressive screams a few seconds later and you can also hear all of the musical instruments that are present on the recording along with the songs also bringing in a decent amount of synths and programmed beats.
Clean goth vocals can also be heard briefly and at times the music also gets very avant garde and experimental along with a great portion of the tracks being instrumental and melodic guitar leads are also added on some of the tracks and all of the songs stick to a mid paced musical direction.
Chasing Sanity plays a musical style that takes experimental, goth, avant garde, industrial and metal and mixes them together to create a sound of his own and the production sounds very professional for being a self released recording.
In my opinion Chasing Sanity are a very great sounding mixture of goth, avant garde and industrial metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this solo project. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "You Fiend" "Dismembered Thoughts" and "Salem 1666". 8 out of 10.
